Mediport: A Redesign for Australia's Medical Platform

Mediport is a medical platform in Australia, and I am redesigning some of its UI to meet new requirements with a clean and creative approach. The project includes enhancing the finance dashboard and integrating AI for real-time transcription of clinical notes.

The Problem

The existing design of the finance dashboard was cluttered and made it hard for users to easily see large financial statistics. Additionally, Mediport needed a feature where doctors could dictate clinical notes, and the system would transcribe them into text instantly.

The Objectives

Our goal was to redesign the finance dashboard with a clearer and more modern look, making it easier for users to understand complex financial data at a glance. We also aimed to integrate AI for voice-to-text transcription of clinical notes, saving time for medical professionals.

Design Process

1. Empathize

We discussed the pain points with the users of the finance dashboard, understanding their need for a simple, clean design to help them quickly access financial information. Similarly, we spoke to doctors who wanted an efficient way to transcribe clinical notes using their voice.

2. Define

Based on these discussions, we focused on:

  • Designing a finance dashboard that shows large amounts of data in a clear, easy-to-read format.
  • Creating a simple and intuitive voice-to-text transcription feature using AI to help doctors with clinical notes.

3. Ideate

We brainstormed different design ideas for the finance dashboard, ensuring that it presented financial statistics in a user-friendly manner. We also planned the integration of AI for real-time transcription, ensuring it worked seamlessly with the rest of the platform.

4. Prototype

Using Figma, we created prototypes of the redesigned dashboard and the voice transcription interface. We made sure that the design was both clean and functional, with real-time AI integration for clinical notes.

5. Test

We tested the new dashboard with users, making adjustments based on their feedback to improve clarity. We also tested the voice-to-text feature to ensure the transcription was accurate and easy to use for doctors.
